St. Gregory Classical Academy will participate in the EdChoice Scholarship Program offered by the state of Ohio. Through EdChoice, all families at St. Gregory’s qualify for scholarships that make it possible for students to attend our school. This program offers substantial support for families, providing students the opportunity to experience a high-quality, faith-based education at St. Gregory Classical Academy. St. Gregory Classical Academy will be able to apply to be an EdChoice Scholarship provider once we have received our initial charter. Our families will be eligible effective on the charter's issuance date, so they will receive a prorated amount for the school year. There are two types of scholarships, the Expansion Scholarship, which is income-based, and the Traditional Scholarship, based on current public school low building performance.
The scholarship amount is $6,166 for grades K–8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12
Traditional — The EdChoice Traditional Scholarship Program provides state-funded scholarships to students who attend or are assigned to an EdChoice-designated public school building. The scholarship must be used to attend chartered non-public schools that meet requirements for program participation. Students in the traditional scholarship program are not subjected to means testing and thus awarded the full scholarship amount regardless of their income level.
The Expansion — Every Ohio K-12 student becomes eligible for an EdChoice Expansion Scholarship for the 2026-27 school year, with the scholarship amount varying based on the family’s income in relation to the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
